Enhance your maternity cover

Flexibility and choice to enhance your maternity cover by adding our Sphera Enhanced maternity plan, with additional limits for routine maternity, complications of pregnancy and childbirth, plus cover for elective circumcision for newborn males.
Choose your area of cover: Worldwide or Worldwide excluding USA.

Worldwide provides cover anywhere in the world (this area of cover can only be selected with the Sphera Signature Core Plan).

Choose your medical network.

We offer a choice of medical networks you can select depending on your requirements:

  • Comprehensive Network: includes all medical providers in our UAE network.
  • General Plus Network: excludes premium healthcare providers (American Hospital Group, Mediclinic Group, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, King's College Hospital, and Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib).
  • General Network: features additional exclusions of high-cost providers beyond those excluded from Comprehensive and General Plus networks.
  • Restricted Enhanced Network: includes selected cost-effective providers delivering a complete range of medical services throughout the UAE.

Yes, you can get international health Insurance with worldwide coverage. Our plans are designed to cover you whether you're living abroad, traveling frequently, or relocating to multiple countries. For most plans you can choose coverage that includes or excludes the USA, depending on your needs and budget.

*Our policies don’t provide any cover or benefit for any business or activity to the extent that either the cover or benefit or the underlying business or activity would violate any applicable sanction law or regulations of the United Nations, the European Union or any other applicable economic or trade sanction law or regulations.

Expats professionals can access healthcare either through the public healthcare system (if eligible) or by purchasing private international health insurance. Many expats opt for private insurance to avoid long wait times and to ensure that they have access to healthcare in their host country but also in their home country.

You can choose to pay your premiums annually, half-yearly, quarterly or monthly by direct debit card. You can also pay by bank transfer, but monthly payments won’t be available if you choose this payment method. Payments are subject to the following administration surcharges: 0% for annual payment, 3% for half-yearly payments, 4% for quarterly payments and 5% for monthly payments.

The payment frequency and methods stated above do not apply to some specialised or regional plans. Please refer to your policy documents to check the payment methods and frequency available to you.

This means that we will cover you on an emergency basis if you are on a short-term visit outside your region of cover. For example, if you are on holiday in a country outside your chosen area of cover, but have purchased a plan that does not include that country - There is usually cover for emergencies in that country for a limited amount of time. Please refer to your chosen plan's Table of Benefits and Benefit Guide for general terms & conditions.

Certain services that may be included in your plan are provided by third party providers. If included in your plan, these services will show in your Table of Benefits. These services are made available to you subject to your acceptance of your policy’s terms and conditions, as well as the service’s terms and conditions as set out by the relevant third party service provider. By accepting the third party service providers’ terms and conditions, you enter a separate contractual relationship directly with them. Their services may be subject to geographical restrictions. Full details of the third party service providers’ terms and conditions are available in their websites and in the relevant application and/or platform where services may be hosted. The third party service providers are independent data controllers, and we recommend that you review their privacy notices to understand how they process your personal data.  The third party service providers offer non-insurance services that are not intended to be a substitute for in-person medical consultations, diagnosis, treatment, assessment or care.
